Museum Curatorial Intern
|POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES|
The primary project that the Curatorial Intern will be responsible for will be in assisting the Exhibitions Director/Curator in developing exhibitions for 2014, 2015 and 2016. It is expected that by the end of the internship a full work plan and prospectus will be put into place for each of these exhibitions. There will also be a chance for the intern to develop his/her own displays within the museum.
|ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS|
Daily tasks include:
-Assist with gallery preparation for the upcoming temporary exhibitions
-Assist with the installation and de-installation of temporary exhibitions and displays
-Assist with the accessioning of objects into PastPerfect collections database
-Centralize photographs into one complete and organized collection
-Tagging of accessioned objects
-Assist with the organization of the collection in existing storage areas.
